About Our Firm

The Prater Law Firm, PLLC was found in 2016 by Paul Prater.  Paul had worked in two other firms and was the managing partner of one of those firms before striking out on his own to form The Prater Firm, PLLC.
The Prater Firm was started with the idea that legal services could be affordable and friendly. We strive to give personalized service to all of our clients. We want to not build a client base, but lasting relationships.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide each and every client with skilled legal advice in a timely and efficient manner. We handle every case with accountability and responsiveness. We know that hiring a lawyer is not the most fun thing to do, so Paul will treat you not just as a client, but as a friend.

We are dedicated to focusing on the legal aspects of your case, so that you can focus on your personal success. Our mission is based on the values we hold true: integrity, service and excellence.

Paul Prater

With 20 years of experience serving clients Paul is dedicated to helping our clients and our community.

Paul Prater is the founder of Prater Law Firm, PLLC and has been in practice for twenty years, spending much of that time as a civil litigator representing some of the world's largest banks and companies.

Paul began his career at a Little Rock law firm where we rapidly rose to Managing Partner as the firm expanded to three states. He left that firm after ten years and spent three years with the Arkansas Bar Association as the Director of Continuing Legal Education. He then spent a brief amount of time at a firm that was in thirteen states where he managed all of their operations across the South.

Paul has represented clients in business matters including scores of business and corporate start ups, contract formation and review, including contractor and subcontractor agreements, and purchase and franchise agreements, just to name a few.

He also has a strong background in litigation, collection and eviction work. He has represented clients in state and federal court.

Paul was named 40 Under 40 by Arkansas Business in 2011.
